What a day! What a couple! We were absolutely blown away by the energy at this Santorini wedding.

Andreas and Lydia had their celebration at one of the most beautiful corners of the island. The views coupled with the Rocabella Santorini venue were perfect for their big day.

Lydia and her ladies were in high spirits. The atmosphere in the room was ecstatic and Lydia was giggling the whole time, which continued through the day!

Getting suited with men when wearing kilts is fun. This time as well! Laughter always fills the room. Andreas was helped by his brother and they, as well as all the men looked sharp once ready.

Something old that Lydia wore was her granny’s pearl necklace. Such a beautiful touch! We love when the family heirlooms are included in the story!

The girls were gorgeous and their beautiful dresses completed their glamorous look for the day.

The guests started gathering at the bar area where it was quite lively.

Everyone was greeting each other and everyone looked fabulous!

Ceremony time saw teary Lydia walking down the aisle. This soon turned into giggles as the celebrant addressed her as the husband. Everyone burst into laughter! Just one of those moments when it is really not possible to be serious.

Great thing about Santorini is that there is a photo opportunity wherever the camera takes you. Part of island where Rocabella is situated commands some of the best views and venturing out for the creative session is easy. A few minute drive away, you find yourself in a different setting. Love our little venture just up the road and the photos from this session!

Return to the hotel was met by cheering and the standing ovation as Lydia and Andreas’ made their grand entrance and the reception started.

Speeches are fun and always give us an insight into our couples. This time as well.

There was no lack of entertainment on the day!

With the short power cut, Andreas’ father brought a guitar and everyone joined in singing.

Greek dancers had everyone join in and no one left it afterwards. Some plate smashing antics took place too!

All everyone wanted is to have a great party which this definitely was! We enjoyed every bit of the day!

September month without doubt brought us great memories. We got to meet lovely couples among them Rachel and Jack.

Their planner Charlotte from Charlotte May weddings kindly organised our pre wedding meeting. This happened at Pyrgos restaurant where their reception took place on the day. We were just amazed at how they were at ease with everything.

They chose Santo Wines and the truly breathtaking caldera backdrop for their wedding ceremony. The views stretch over the islands with Oia in the distance. The gazebo in the middle of the wedding terrace was adorned with white hydrengeas and roses beautifully arranged by Red box days.

Our creative time started in one of the villages close to SantoWines. Although the day was hot, the walk through the village was enjoyable. Among the houses in the alleys we found some shade that was greatly appreciated by all of us. The village was altogether quiet. Rachel and Jack were happy to go for a little wander.

Further down the road, we found ourselves at one of our favourite spots. It is absolutely breathtaking, any time of day. The bell towers give such a Greek feel to the photos and the blues of the Aegean sea complimented our newlyweds.

The arrival to Pyrgos restaurant and the Panorama hall was cheered by the wedding guests as Rachel and Jack walked in. We found guests freshening up in the shade of the terrace eating gelatos from one of our favourites on the island – Solo Gelato.

We love speeches.

It is the time when we learn new things about our couples. It brings a lot of laughter and a tear here and there and it stays with us! Capturing all the expression and the atmosphere is what we enjoy doing, throughout the day.

We had a very short time for the golden hour session at the sunset on the day. The entrance at the restaurant has a beautiful perspective overlooking the vineyards and the villages in the background on the caldera. Just love how Rachel and Jack were laughing and giggling throughout the day.

As it got dark, the dreamy fairy-lights were on and transformed the terrace.

The beginning of the sax players session invited everyone to the dance floor.

Truly honoured to have been there on the day! Thank you Rachel and Jack for choosing us. We loved being there with you all!

Our first wedding of the season and it was this fabulous Mykonos wedding!

After spending the past few springs away from Greece, this felt so good. Starting off with this Mykonos villa wedding, made us realise how much we love being there. The month of May is beautiful in Greece, perfect spring wedding weather with a touch of heat.

We arrived to Mykonos from Santorini and stayed in a small family run hotel overlooking the Chora and the Mykonos windmills. As we knew that the wedding party will continue in town on the day, the location was perfect, walkable distance from town. And then again, it was 10 minute drive to the wedding villa. One thing we learnt, you don’t want to be driving around the town looking for somewhere to park.

Mykonian landscape is mesmerising! The ancient rocks and boulders seem to be planted there as the witnesses of the passing of time.

Kate and Andy chose a villa set above the Super Paradise beach for their intimate wedding.

The two villas were perfect for them and their friends as they enjoyed their stay there. A huge pool on a hill top dominated the front of the villa.

We came to meet them the day before the wedding day and found everyone lounging by the pool. But not on the wedding day! Everyone was inside enjoying the coolness.

The views from the villas over the beach and the sea were beautiful.

Kate chose a simple yet luxurious Grace Loves Lace dress that was perfect for the setting and the weather.

On our arrival, the girls started slowly to get ready.

Andy passed a note and a gift to Kate while she was having her hair done. As her friends were in the room, the terrace overlooking the Super Paradise beach seemed perfect for some private time.

The adjoining villa was occupied by groom and his groomsmen. This came handy as there was no need to worry that our Mykonos bride will get seen before the ceremony time.

The guests moved to the back of the villa and let Kate and Andy have their special time for the first-look.

Our lovely bride hid again in the villa where a very important person arrived! Kate’s little nephew who was a ring bearer came to see her and ran into her arms. Such a beautiful sight to see! He was all up for his important duty on the day!

For their wedding ceremony, Kate and Andy chose a little terrace surrounded by the walls that screamed Mykonos and Cycladic islands from the stone they were built from.

When it was time for the ceremony, guests joined Andy at the terrace and were chatting as the time came. The ceremony was officiated by their dear friend.

As the ceremony filled with laugher and a few tears finished, the newlyweds exited the aisle, followed by the guests that sought shade from the afternoon Mykonos sun.

Everyone approached to congratulate as the glasses of champagne were handed out.

As the ring bearer finished the duty, he was ready for the toast with his auntie – the bride and her girls.

The surrounding area of this Mykonos villa wedding was just stunning! Very rugged and yet so pretty. We found a little spot on the slope below that was perfect to photograph our couple.

As best men’s speeches finished, we found ourselves in a nearby field just in time to catch the last of the sunlight on the day. The field was covered in wild herbs, some grass and thorny bushes and made us all laugh most of the time for it was not the easiest of the walks! Kate and Andy didn’t mind it and we so love the result of the golden hour time we had with them.

An unfortunate event gave a special character to the wedding cake – Kate and Andy both accidentally managed to poke their fingers into it! It was obviously delicious as it was approved by a little cake connoisseur!

The evening continued in Mykonos Chora where everyone took to the dance floor at Scarpa.

Our favourite bar when in town was the perfect venue for a their wedding party. Kate changed into a gorgeous little number to dance a night away!

Thank you dear Kate and Andy for having us there during your Mykonos wedding celebration! We absolutely loved being with you all. You all made this day very special for us!

It was a mid October wedding. This time of year is especially lovely. The light and the atmosphere uniquely change, enhancing the dramatic scenery.

This morning in particular began with torrential rain. Obviously, we prayed for this to end. On the approach to Oia, where the wedding was to take place, a realisation hit us. Surprisingly, this side of the island had remained altogether dry!

In the distance, the storm clouds were passing. At the same time, the sun was breaking.

Once together with Jenna and Eric, we finally felt the relief. Regardless of the storm going around the island, they were both certainly calm. At least, on the surface they seemed so. Soon, we all began to enjoy the preparations indeed.

During our pre wedding meeting, Jenna expressed her vision of their first look.

The rooftop of their suite at Rhenia’s suites was undeniably perfect for this special moment. Now, on the day, in front of the spectacular caldera views, Jenna approached Eric. Their first look was perched high above the village and the sea below thus making for a breathtaking setting.

The famous blue domes were adjacent to their private balcony. As we had plenty of time before the ceremony, we took the opportunity to walk there. Whenever we get this chance, it is always very special. On this occasion, Jenna and Eric just looked so serene with the iconic background.

We were back to the suite in time for Jenna and Eric to freshen up before the ceremony.

The ceremony on their balcony was particularly beautiful. Its simplicity coupled with the wide expanse of the open landscape truly expressed the magic of the island. We instantly get excited at such opportunities.

Now that the ceremony was over, without delay, we continued to use the warm setting light on the rooftops. At this point, they were both really in the moment together.

Eventually, we continued to their dinner terrace where we watched the light slowly drop in the distance.

At this instant, we realized why we love what we do. The romance, the natural surroundings, the calmness and beauty all without a doubt complement each other. With this in mind, we feel privileged to be able to capture these special moments.

In this case, we met Sydney and Quinn from USA at their stunning villa in Imerovigli. This was the week of their wedding celebration in Santorini surrounded by closest friends and family. Therefore, to mark the beginning of their special time in Santorini, they decided to have a photo session.

The shapes and forms that naturally occur in Santorinian architecture cast by the strong light are especially inspirational. Whenever we have the opportunity, we use them as a background.

Further along the path in front of the villa, rooftops attracted us. In the distance we could see Oia, the northern tip of the island. The village we were in particularly gives a sense of the dramatic cliffs that surround the caldera.

Despite the fact that we started two hours before the sunset, it was still a very hot August day. Nevertheless, our couple stayed cool and calm!

Frequently, we find ourselves walking up and down the steps just for the purpose of finding these wonderful little corners. With this in mind, when our couples get awed by the opportunities, it fills our hearts with joy!

Obviously, a little shade between the cool walls of the church is what we all appreciated!

In front of us, the sea looked especially calm. Given that we were low on the caldera, all we could hear was silence around us.

By the time we were back on the main path, the light changed.

Once we started descending further down the caldera path, our surroundings got the hint of rust and black – the colours of the volcanic rock. At this point, the golden shades were introduced on our couple’s faces.

We stayed just outside of Dubrovnik and had wonderful views over one of the bays of Adriatic sea.

Dubrovnik Old Town is a melting pot of history and grandeur.

The terracotta roof tiles are dominating the skyline and make a wonderful combination with all the limestone buildings and a great contrast to the Adriatic sea.

We climbed the walls of Dubrovnik and even it was hot, still enjoyed the walk around the perimeter. It was mesmerising as you could witness the intricate design of the ancient city.

Further south the coast, there is a beautiful town of Cavtat that was so peaceful. Its harbour side was nestled amongst the pine trees.

We loved spending the afternoon there and watching the sunset over the calm waters.

For anyone who loves bays and rocky shoreline, this is a perfect destination! And we can see why it would be an ideal destination for a wedding in Croatia.

The bustle of the west coast opened our senses. The shops and restaurants were incredible.

My love for surfing took us to world renowned Uluwatu peninsula. It does not get much better for a surfer and a photographer in Bali!

The colours of the lush green cliffs balancing above the turquoise ocean and perfect waves, for me, has to be paradise.

Ubud has become a mecca for spiritual travellers where health and the wellbeing are in perfect balance.

The Hindu customs and temples have made such an impression to visitors that this is such a vibrant hub to really explore another side to life.

A life where we can understand that happiness and wealth actually are in these moments. They lie deep in our consciousness and remain as a rich memory we have forever.

Since we spend summers in Santorini, the family often visits. Rachel and Henry fell in love with Greece and loved the idea of getting married in Greece. On their trip in 2015, when we photographed their Mykonos engagement, they fell under its spell and decided that this was to be the perfect place for their wedding.

The day started at the hotel above Elia beach and the views of Aegean.

Our mother made a beautiful lace belt that Rachel wore tied around her waist. This was such a lovely and a special touch.

Set high above Elia beach, church wedding ceremony was perfect with around 80 guests soaking in the wonderful atmosphere. We all sang some of their favourite songs and mingled with the familiar faces as the sun went down.

From the hotel, everyone walked down with the musicians to the Elia Mykonos wedding reception. The venue was beautifully decorated with olive branches and other wild flowers. It was just perfect! All the wonderful details as well as Rachel’s bouquet were beautifully done by Mykonos Flowers.

Dinner flew by as everyone was keen to get into the groove.

With the ending of the speeches, Rachel and Henry were on the dance floor for their first dance. Once the dance was over, the whole party joined the celebration and didn’t leave the dance floor the whole night!

The party continued to the early hours and although we were behind the cameras, we were always on the dance floor. It is always great to see guests enjoying themselves and mingling throughout the day.

We wouldn’t have expected anything less from Rachel and Henry’s best day ever!

I’d always known of this mysterious island at the bottom of India, because a friend at school went there when we were very young and told us stories of jungle, elephants and tropical beaches. Those stories always remained in my mind.

I believe Sri Lanka is a destination that encompasses all the characteristics of its big brother – India into a small island, but yet so unique.

The inland trip took us to some of the UNESCO sites and it amazed us to see so many at close proximity! They were so mesmerising in ancient antiquity that the country starts to hypnotise you with its magic.

We moved around easily on the rail system that is so nostalgic and full of atmosphere as we passed through a lush interior. The tea plantations founded by the British in the 1800s together with the highlands are a patchwork of manicured hillsides and colourful tea pickers.

To the South beaches cleanse the soul from the heat and the bustle of the interior and on reflection, one realises Sri Lanka has a perfect balance to life!
