Beautiful Croatian coast was on our map long time now. We were lucky to have some time off in the summer to visit it. And we fell in love! All the bays, architecture, the smell of pine trees, everything was just enchanting.
We stayed just outside of Dubrovnik and had wonderful views over one of the bays of Adriatic sea.
Dubrovnik Old Town is a melting pot of history and grandeur.
The terracotta roof tiles are dominating the skyline and make a wonderful combination with all the limestone buildings and a great contrast to the Adriatic sea.
We climbed the walls of Dubrovnik and even it was hot, still enjoyed the walk around the perimeter. It was mesmerising as you could witness the intricate design of the ancient city.
Further south the coast, there is a beautiful town of Cavtat that was so peaceful. Its harbour side was nestled amongst the pine trees.
We loved spending the afternoon there and watching the sunset over the calm waters.
For anyone who loves bays and rocky shoreline, this is a perfect destination! And we can see why it would be an ideal destination for a wedding in Croatia.
